Discover Our New Showroom
We're thrilled to unveil our brand-new Tim Webber showroom, located at 12 Nugent Street.
Outgrowing our previous space, we seized the opportunity to move on and renovate a larger space that could showcase more of our range and enhance our customer experience.
We are so delighted to finally have our doors open to share this thoughtfully curated environment with you.
Step inside and you'll discover a diverse mix of Tim Webber and European designed residential commercial furniture; a select range that blends excellent design and functionality, quality New Zealand craftsmanship with timeless style.
Celebrating the industrial shell, we blended a contemporary aesthetic and finishes with the authentic character of the commercial space.
Innovative wall panels that beautifully soften the space as well as the acoustics, allowing the space to be comfortably used as a work space, for events and for client meetings. Flexibility was a highly considered aspect required for this space as different furniture and lighting rotate through the space, so Tim designed panel to be removeable and moveable to ensure it’s simple and easy to change positions of wall lights, power plugs and paintings to suit any configuration.
Venture outside, and you'll notice a refreshed exterior, courtesy of a full repaint, from black to a soft white, breathing new life into the building's façade. The soft white contrasts with the newly installed backlit LED logo, to be seen from all edges of Nugent Street. Adding a touch of warmth are 13 cylindrical planters in Corten steel, thoughtfully positioned along the entrance of the site, infusing the surroundings with texture and colour.
But beyond the products and space itself, our new showroom is a space for collaboration and shared love of beautiful New Zealand and European design.
We invite you to join us on this journey as we push the experience of bespoke New Zealand design.

Caring for Solid Wood Timber
Solid wood timber is not just a material; it's a testament to nature's beauty and durability. Whether it's a stunning oak dining table, a vintage chest of drawers, or a rustic bookshelf, solid wood furniture adds warmth and character to any space. However, like any natural material, it requires proper care and maintenance to retain its charm and longevity. In this comprehensive guide, we'll delve into the art of caring for solid wood timber, from routine cleaning to tackling tough stains and preserving its natural beauty for generations to come.
Understanding Solid Wood Timber
Before diving into care tips, it's essential to understand the nature of solid wood timber. Unlike engineered wood or veneers, solid wood furniture is crafted from whole pieces of timber, making it robust and durable. However, wood is also susceptible to changes in temperature, humidity, and moisture levels, which can lead to warping, cracking, or fading if not properly maintained.
Routine Cleaning and Maintenance
Regular cleaning is key to preserving the beauty of solid wood timber. Dust and debris can accumulate over time, dulling the surface and potentially scratching the finish. To prevent this, dust your furniture frequently with a soft, lint-free cloth or a microfiber duster. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or rough materials that can scratch the wood.
For deeper cleaning, lightly dampen a cloth with water and mild soap, then gently wipe the surface in the direction of the wood grain. Be sure to dry the wood thoroughly afterward to prevent water damage. Avoid using excessive water or harsh chemicals, as these can strip the wood's natural oils and finish.
Protecting Against Moisture and Humidity
Solid wood timber is sensitive to changes in humidity and moisture levels, which can cause it to expand, contract, or even mold if left unchecked. To protect your furniture, place it away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and areas with high humidity, such as bathrooms or basements.
Investing in a humidifier or dehumidifier can help regulate indoor humidity levels, especially during seasonal changes. Additionally, using coasters, placemats, and tablecloths can prevent water rings and stains from beverages or hot dishes.
Preserving the Finish
The finish of your solid wood furniture plays a crucial role in its appearance and protection against wear and tear. Whether it's a glossy varnish, matte oil, or traditional wax, the finish should be maintained regularly to ensure longevity.
For varnished or lacquered finishes, use a specialized wood polish or wax to restore shine and provide a protective layer against scratches and stains. Apply the polish with a soft cloth, following the direction of the wood grain, and buff to a shine.
For oil-finished wood, such as teak or walnut, apply a thin coat of high-quality wood oil or conditioner every few months to nourish the wood and enhance its natural luster. Be sure to wipe off any excess oil and allow it to dry thoroughly before use.
Dealing with Stains and Damage
Despite your best efforts, accidents happen, and stains or damage may occur on your solid wood furniture. Whether it's a water ring, ink stain, or minor scratch, prompt action can often minimize the damage.
For water rings or stains, gently rub the affected area with a mixture of baking soda and water or a mild wood cleaner. For tougher stains, such as ink or wine, dab a small amount of rubbing alcohol or vinegar onto a cloth and gently blot the stain, being careful not to rub too hard and damage the finish.
For scratches or gouges, use a wood filler or touch-up pen that matches the color of your furniture to fill in the damaged area. Once dry, lightly sand the surface and apply a thin coat of matching finish to blend with the surrounding wood.
Caring for solid wood timber is a labor of love that pays off in the long run, preserving the natural beauty and integrity of your furniture for years to come. By following these simple tips and tricks, you can ensure that your solid wood furniture remains a cherished centerpiece in your home, passed down through generations as a testament to quality craftsmanship and timeless elegance. -
