Grumley + Company
Designed by Studio 11:11, the headquarters for Grumley + Company reflects founder Toss Grumley’s commitment to creativity, excellence and aspiration. The result is a workplace designed less like an office, and more like a living gallery for ideas.
In Ponsonby, Auckland, the multi-functional studio seamlessly integrates an art gallery, event venue and workspace. It showcases a collection of artisan pieces, finishes and furniture, woven together through a cohesive, narrative-driven design. At the heart is Grumley’s personal art collection, which anchors the space and cultivates an atmosphere of creativity.
Delivered by CASA Construct, many elements began as abstract ideas rather than specified products, such as the bespoke bookshelves flanked by custom gravel-textured pillars. The dark walls and custom cabinetry are punctuated by impressive artworks, anchoring moments of pause and intrigue.
This space is a physical expression of character and philosophy; contemplative, refined and unconventional. More than just a workplace, it stands as a continual source of inspiration, reflecting the firm’s commitment to thoughtful strategy and creative engagement.

Raw yet elegant, the York Bench brings together bold, architectural forms and honest industrial materials, softened by the indulgence of supple, high-quality leather. Striking from every angle, it sits perfectly at home in an entry hallway, at the end of the bed, or as a statement seating piece within a lounge space.
Crafted from 10mm solid plate steel, press-folded and welded, then finished with mixed-grade foam and premium leather, the York Bench is built with genuine integrity.
Owing to the natural character of leather and the galvanising process, every piece carries its own subtle variations, making each bench entirely its own.
