Lukeke Design was established in 2006 by Luke Jacomb (Auckland, New Zealand) who has respectively risen to the forefront of the international studio glass movement.
Made with crushed newspaper, every time the mould is blown into, the Crushed Vase changes as the newspaper burns and moves after each use. The result is an organic looking form, which is a result of the process. The process of blowing in the mould is evident within the final product.
DESCRIPTION
Luke's reputation is firmly established in the United States and is represented in significant private and public collections, including the Ebeltoff Glass Museum (Denmark), Corning Museum of Glass (New York, USA) and the New Orleans Museum of Art (Louisiana, USA).
